Installation






1. Install radiator in vehicle.
2. Install upper radiator seal.
3. Install upper radiator brackets and nuts.
^ Torque: 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.)

IMPORTANT: The L shaped brackets must not pin. the radiator locating pins. The radiator must be able to move freely in the grommets after installation.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED PRIOR TO LIFTING. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE TO BE REMOVED.

4. Raise vehicle.





5. Install two lower condenser bracket-to-radiator bolts and remove support wire.





6. On models with automatic transaxle install lower transaxle oil cooler line.
^ Torque: 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.)





7. Install lower splash shield.
8. Lower vehicle.





9. Install lower radiator hose and clamp. Position clamp.





10. Install fan assembly.





11. Install upper hold down bolt.
^ Torque: 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.)

12. Install fan motor electrical connector. Install wiring harness to fan shroud and radiator end tank.





13. On vehicles with automatic transaxle, install and tighten upper transaxle oil cooler line. Install upper transaxle oil cooler line at a 35 degree angle to vertical center line of radiator end tank and hold while tightening.
^ Tighten: 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.)





14. Install upper radiator hose and clamp. Position clamp at 1 o'clock.





15. Install air filter box, intake air duct and resonator.
16. Connect negative battery terminal.
17. Fill with coolant and leak test.
