Valve housingTo remove
1. Remove the Valve housing cover.
2. Detach the wiring harness for the solenoid valves. (The illustration shows how to use a screwdriver for detaching the different connectors.)
^ Detach 8 connectors from the solenoid valves (A).
^ Unplug the 2 connectors from the engine speed sensors. (B)
^ Remove the wiring harness from the 2 retaining clips. (C)
3. Unplug the engine speed sensors' connectors.
^ Detach the connectors from the two mountings. (D)
4. Remove the temperature sensor.
^ Remove the screw. (A)
^ Lift away the attaching plate. (B)
^ Remove the temperature sensor (C)
5. Move the wiring harness for the solenoid valves and the wiring harness for the engine speed sensors aside.
6. Remove the cover (A).
^ Remove the cover. (B)
^ Remove the gasket. (C)
7. Remove the valve housing.
^ Undo the screws in the specified order.
^ Remove the screws.
8. Lower the car to the floor.
9. Unhook the clutch rod. (A)
10. Carefully lift the valve housing upwards.
Important: The ducts are filled with oil.
To fit
1. Clean the sealing surfaces
2. Clean the threads. (arrows)
3. Fit the valve housing.
^ Hook in the clutch rod. (A)
^ Fit 6 screws.
4. Raise the car.
5. Fit the cover.
^ Fit a new gasket. (C)
^ Fit the cover. (A)
^ Fit two screws. (B)
6. Finish fitting the valve housing.
^ Tighten the 8 screws (arrows) in the specified order.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
7. Fit the temperature sensor. (C)
^ Moisten the temperature sensor O-ring with gearbox oil.
^ Fit the attaching plate. (B)
^ Tighten the screw. (A)
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
8. Plug in the engine speed sensors' connectors.
^ Attach the connectors to the two mountings (D).
9. Plug in the connector for the solenoid valves.
^ Secure the wiring harness in the 2 retaining clips (C).
^ Plug in the 2 connectors for the engine speed sensors (B).
^ Plug in the 8 connectors for the solenoid valves (A)
10. Fit the Valve housing cover
11. Upon valve housing replacement: Carry out Adaptation, resetting.
