Xenon Lamp

WARNING:
^ HIGH TENSION
Xenon lamp actuators and ignition transformers generate voltages of over 23,000 V. Such voltages can be lethal for persons with heart problems or who have a pacemaker. Therefore, handle this system with great respect and turn off the ignition before touching any of the parts in the system.
^ Read Safety and handling instructions, xenon headlamps before starting work.


To remove
1. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position.
2. LHD: Remove the battery cover, air inlet pipe (A), washer fluid filler pipe (B) and the main fuse box (C).





3. Remove the xenon bulb:
^ Remove the protective cover (A).





^ Unplug the connector (B).





^ Remove the xenon bulb (C) by turning anticlockwise. Lift the xenon bulb straight out of the headlamp.
^ Undo the xenon bulb socket (D) by detaching it.





To fit

IMPORTANT: When changing a bulb, select a new bulb of the correct rating to prevent the components being damaged.

1. Fit the xenon bulb.
^ Fit the socket (C) to the xenon bulb, paying attention to the coding.





^ Carefully insert the xenon bulb (C) straight into the headlamp housing and turn clockwise to lock in place.





^ Plug in the connector (B).
^ Fit the protective cover (A).





2. LHD: Fit the main fuse box (C), washer fluid filler pipe (B), air inlet pipe (A) and battery cover.





3. Clear any diagnostic trouble codes.
