Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is a means of digitally transmitting traffic messages via the normal FM radio network.

The radio receiver receives an RF signal and forwards traffic information on the bus to the navigation system's head unit (EHU).

The radio receiver is connected to the antenna cable between the EHU and the antenna amplifier.
