Replacing the VECI (Vehicle Emission Control Information) label

Product Emission Campaign 153 01

Cars in stock must be rectified before delivery.

Owners of delivered cars will be informed about the change via a personal message and will receive the amended label and be requested to either apply it themselves or contact their nearest Saab workshop for further action.

Cars affected

Saab 9-3 M07 with engine alternative B207R within the following Vehicle Identification Number ranges:

4D/5D: 71000058-71114585
CV: 76000020-76103541

Background

The "Vehicle Emission Control Information" label incorrectly indicates a test group that is not certified for 2007.

Parts required

93 160 907 Cleaning agent Motip Dupli, aerosol 400 ml or similar (sufficient for 50-100 cars)

VECI labels are sent to the owners of delivered cars and to workshops where affected cars are held in stock.

If additional labels are required:

Extra labels (12 779 775) can be ordered free-of-charge in accordance with normal routines (US)

Procedure

1. Open the bonnet.





2. Clean the old label on the radiator crossmember using cleaning agent Motip Dupli or similar.

3. Apply the new label over the old label.

4. Close the bonnet.
