Invalid Key Position







Fault symptom
- Steering column lock not working.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Diagnostics runs when key is removed.

Fault criteria:
- "Key removed" signal does not come within 2 seconds after "key inserted" signal from ISM has disappeared.

Diagnostic help
- Diagnostic trouble code can be generated if the key is removed too slowly from the ignition switch.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in the component.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:

Test value:
- LOCK
- OFF-BUTTON
- ON
- ST
- INVALID.
