Fault diagnosis hints and tips

The electrical window lifts can be operated when the ignition switch is in drive position (+54).

The window lifts are grounded by means of pin 8 on the switch in grounding point G24







1. Check that fuses 6 and 36 are intact and supplied with current.
2. Check that current is supplied to motor 164.
3. Check that the switches 386 and 190 are working.
4. Check that the sensors are giving reasonable values.
5. Check the wiring harness, connectors and ground connections.
