Oil By Mating Face Of Gearcase

Fault Symptom
Oil on the lower part of the gearbox by the mating face of the clutch housing and gearcase.

Conditions
Oil may appear in the area described above since it is not possible to tighten bolts of steel quality 8.8 to the correct torque.

Action





Change the bolts shown in the illustration to new bolts of steel quality 10.9.

NOTE: The tightening torque has been changed for the new bolts.

Tightening torque post A-C, 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.)
Tightening torque post D, 20 Nm + 45° (15 ft. lbs. + 45°)
