Removing In-Car





1. Lift up the main fuse box.
2. Engage 4th gear.
3. Secure 4th gear in the gearbox with 87 92 335 Locking pin
4. Detach the linkage bracket on the engine mounting.
5. Detach the pinch-bolt clamp from the selector rod.
6. Detach the connection from the gearbox
7. Remove the linkage.

Fitting In-Car





1. Fit the linkage to the gearbox and selector mechanism but do not tighten.
2. Screw the linkage bracket on to the engine mounting. Apply 74 96 292 Nut lock to the screws and tighten.
Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.)
3. Engage 4th gear.





4. Secure 4th gear in the car.
5. Tighten the connection to the gearbox.
Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)





6. Tighten the pinch-bolt clamp to the selector rod.
7. Pull out the locking pin.
8. Insert the plastic plug.
9. Extract the locking pin from the gear lever housing.
10. Fit the main fuse box.
11. Check that all gears can be engaged and that the key can be removed in reverse.
