Seal Ring - Selector Rod, Removed Gearbox

To Remove
1. Prise out the seal using a narrow screwdriver.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage the sealing surface on the selector rod.

To Fit
1. Clean the selector rod and check that it has no burrs.
2. Wind a layer of thin, smooth plastic tape around the hole in the selector rod.








3. Remove the tape and tap in the seal with assembly tool 87 90 685 - and clamp 87 91 709 of. Only tap so far that the seal is flush with the clutch housing.
