Replacement Of Bearing

To Remove
1. Secure the differential in a vice with protective jaws and pull off the bearings with puller 87 92 343. Use tool 87 91 659 - as support.

To Fit
1. Press down the bearings until they stop with press sleeve 87 92 475. Use tool 87 92 210 as support.
2. To change bearing race.

Replacement Of Final Drive Gear

To Remove
1. Remove the final drive gear bolts using an external torx and tap off the final drive gear using a plastic hammer.

To Fit
1. Tap on the final gear wheel on the differential housing using a plastic hammer.














2. Fit the final drive gear with marking towards the differential housing. Fit new screws and tighten alternately. Smear the screws with 74 96 292 Nut lock. The gear wheel must be heated slightly before fitting.
Tightening torque 20 Nm + 90° (15 ft. lbs. + 90°)
