TWICE Control Module



Control Module

To remove







1. Detach and lift away the LH front seat
2. Lift and fold aside the carpet. Remove the plastic moulding as needed.
3. Unplug the connector to the module.
4. Remove 3 plastic nuts and lift out the module.

To fit







1. Position the module and fasten it with the 3 plastic nuts.
2. Plug in the connector on the module.
3. Put the carpet back in place. If necessary, refit the plastic moulding.
4. Refit the front seat.
5. After the TWICE control module is replaced, it must be programmed into the car.

Programming

NOTE: All car keys must be programmed at the same time

IMPORTANT: The transponders and remote controls that are not available during programming will be rendered unusable.

1. Connect the diagnostic tool
2. Remove the antenna unit for immobilization by turning it clockwise. Do not disconnect the switch. Place the antenna unit on the side of the ignition switch.







NOTE: The antenna unit should not be removed at low temperatures due to the risk of crack formation.







3. Hold the accompanying transponder over the hole in the antenna unit. Switch the ignition to the ON position. Hold the transponder in the same position for a few seconds.
Once the transponder code has been read by TWICE, the alarm indicator diode will stop its double flashing. If the alarm indicator diode does not stop its double flashing, repeat step 3. Adjust the position of the accompanying transponder.
4. Select body system and navigate to TWICE with the diagnostic tool. Do not press ENTER.
5. Hold the accompanying transponder above the hole in the antenna unit.
6. Press ENTER on the diagnostic tool.
7. Select Programming
8. Select Spare Part Programming
9. Perform spare part programming. Select the alternatives applicable to the car in question.
10. Upon completion of spare part programming, select "Programming of transponders and remote controls". Press ENTER. Press NO when asked "Do you wish to exit".
11. Hold the accompanying transponder above the hole in the antenna unit. The seat-belt warning lamp will blink to show that the transponder code was understood by TWICE. Press OK.
12. Turn off the ignition and restart from step 3 if the seat belt warning lamp does not flash.
13. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tool, with the following exceptions:
At the first time with step three in Tech 2, refit the antenna unit and refit the same key.

NOTE: The antenna unit should not be fitted at low temperatures due to the risk of crack formation.

14. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tool:

Tech 2

1. Look at the 'FASTEN SEATBELT' lamp
2. Press the remote control unlock button once per second until the 'FASTEN SEATBELT' lamp blinks once. More than 8 presses on the button may be necessary.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch and fit the next key.
4. Turn the key to the 'ON' position.
5. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

Additional keys and remote controls are programmed in following points 3-5.

Press 'OK' once all keys and remote controls are programmed.

1. Once all keys are programmed, select "Immobilization".
2. Perform immobilization programming.
3. Clear DTCs in TWICE.
4. Clear DTCs in the engine management system.
5. Discard the accompanying transponder.
6. Fill in the return form that comes with the spare part package and return TWICE within 40 days of the order date.
