Saab 9-5 M04 - M06 up to VIN 63501757 with engine alternative B205 or B235.
Background
A new throttle body (604) was introduced M04, at which time the vacuum connection was moved. As a result, the vacuum hose between the throttle body and solenoid valve (605) became taut and detached from the solenoid valve on some cars.
Carry out the following measures upon customer complaint.
Symptom description
- Varying idling speed
- CHECK ENGINE lamp lights.
- DTCs P1110, P1171 and P0106.
Parts required
If the vacuum hose requires replacement:
91 36 243 Vacuum hose 5 m (sufficient for 15 cars) (CA: 9438381 7.62 m/25 ft)
Procedure
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Check if the vacuum hose has become hard. If so, it must be replaced to prevent leakage.
3. Connect the vacuum hose to the solenoid valve if it has detach and detach the vacuum hose from the throttle body. Route the vacuum hose as illustrated.
For hose replacement: Detach the vacuum hose from the solenoid valve and throttle body. Cut a new vacuum hose as long as the old one and route it as illustrated.
4. Connect the vacuum hose to the throttle body.
For hose replacement: Connect the vacuum hose to the solenoid valve and throttle body.
5. Fit the engine cover.
