Lamp Housing For Direction Indicators, Attachment Lug

1. Identify the type of plastic.
2. Select the correct welding filler and set the temperature of the welding gun so that it agrees with the type of plastic.
3. Heat the end of the attachment lug and tack it in place. Use the tack welding tip.







4. The attachment lug is now provisionally in place.







5. Cut the end of the welding rod to a point.







6. Weld the attachment lug with welding filler.
7. Allow the weld to cool.
8. Grind the welds if required.







9. Remove any groves left after grinding by rapidly heating the repaired area with the welding gun set to a temperature approx. 25 degrees C above the stipulated welding temperature.
