Adjusting the Temperature Gauge
Adjusting The Temperature Gauge
Using information on the engine coolant temperature form Trionic, the main instrument unit inserts fixed break points to provide a more stable display of the engine coolant temperature. The scale on the temperature gauge is divided into 4 fixed "break points". There are 2 ways of adjusting the coolant temperature display. The coolant temperatures that correspond to the fixed break points can be adjusted and the horizontal break point can be adjusted (gauge display, engine at operating temperature)
Adjustment can be made with the following break points/commands:
1. Low temp. High - Break point where needle leaves the "blue zone (works setting: 4-cyl. 50 Degree C, 6-cyl. 47 Degree C)
2. Horizontal Low temp. - Break point for needle in horizontal position (works setting: 4-cyl. 83 Degree C, 6-cyl. 80 Degree C).
3. Horizontal High temp. - Break point where the needle leaves horizontal position (works setting: 4-cyl. 115 Degree C, 6-cyl. 112 Degree C).
4. High temp Low - Break point where the needle goes into the "red" zone (works setting: 4-cyl. 129 Degree C, 6-cyl. 126 Degree C).
5. Horizontal Offset. Adjusts the horizontal position of the needle in degrees.
