Main Instrument Unit
To Remove
1. Remove upper and lower steering column cowls, 3 screws.
2. Remove the direction indicator and windscreen wiper switch.
3. Remove the radio.
4. Remove the SID unit.
5. Remove the ACC/heating and ventilation unit (not the seat heating unit).
6. Remove the switches to the right of the steering wheel.
7. Remove the fuse cover.
8. Unplug the light switch and press out the unit. Unplug the three switch connectors to the left of steering wheel, making a note of their order (black, green and orange).
9. Remove the two button blanks.
10. Remove the instrument panel screws and clips.
11. Remove the instrument panel.
12. Remove the screws securing the main instrument unit.
13. Tip the main instrument unit backward.
14. Unplug the connector.
15. Lift out the main instrument unit.
To Fit
1. Put the main instrument unit into position.
2. Plug in the connector.
3. Fit the screws securing the main instrument unit.
4. Fit the instrument panel, securing it with the screws and clips.
5. Fit the two button blanks.
6. Plug in the three connectors for the switches to the left of the steering wheel. Ensure they are in the correct order. Refit the light switch unit and plug in the light switch connector.
7. Fit the cover over the fuses.
8. Fit the switches (to the right of the steering wheel).
9. Fit the ACC / heating and ventilation unit.
10. Fit the SID unit.
11. Fit the radio.
12. Plug in the connectors for the direction indicators and windscreen wipers and fit the stalk switches.
13. Fit the upper and lower steering column cowls.
