Engine Torque Strut: Service and Repair

Front Torque Arm
To Remove
1. Raise the car.






2. Remove the screws to the torque arm.
3. Loosen the screws on the gearbox bracket so the torque arm's rear screw can be removed.
4. Remove the torque arm.

To Fit
1. Fit the torque arm with through bolts.






2. Tighten the gearbox bracket screws.
Tightening torque: 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.)
3. Tighten the through bolt to the subframe.
Tightening torque: 90 Nm + 90° (66 ft. lbs. + 90°)
4. Tighten the bolt holding the torque arm to the bracket.
Tightening torque: 70 Nm + 90° (52 ft. lbs. + 90°)
