Auxiliary Water Pump: Description and Operation

Circulation Pump







Cars with parking heater are equipped with a circulation pump for the parking heater. The aim is to achieve and even flow through the heat exchanger when the parking heater is active.

The circulation pump is supplied from +30 via fuse 8 and is controlled on the ground side from the control module's K1 pin 15.

The control module starts the pump when the engine is on or when the parking heater is active.

Programming







The function can be programmed using the diagnostic tool if the circulation pump is retrofitted.

Diagnostics
In the event of open circuit or short circuit diagnostic trouble code B2380 is generated.
