Swinging caliper, rear wheel, changingTo remove
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
2. Remove the brake pads.
3. Depress the brake pedal slightly, using a brake pedal clamp.
4. Remove fuse No. 1 for the brake lights.
5. Remove the clip from the brake pipe.
6. Remove the hose from the brake pipe and plug the pipe.
7. Remove the dust caps and the two brake caliper guide pins and lift away the hydraulic body.
8. Detach the brake hose connection from the brake caliper.
To fit
1. Remove the plugs and connect the brake lines.
Tightening torque 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.)
2. Fit the hydraulic body and tighten its two guide pins to torque.
Tightening torque 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.)
3. Fit the brake hose to the pipe
4. Fit the clip.
Important: Bear in mind the twisting of the hose so that it is not refitted incorrectly.
Fit the brake pads.
5. Lower the car slightly, remove the brake pedal clamp and put the fuse back in its holder.
6. Bleed the brake system.
7. Fit the rear wheel.
Tightening torques
aluminium wheel 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.)
steel wheel 50 Nm +2x90°, max. 110 Nm (37 ft. lbs. +2x90°, max. 81 ft. lbs.)
8. Lower the car to the floor and depress the brake pedal to force out the brake pistons.
9. Check the brake fluid level and top up as necessary.
