Anti-corrosion treatment when replacing the tailgate

Background

The spot welding agent has been discontinued in production in order to improve anti-corrosion protection in the lower edge of the tailgate. This results in improved penetration for the ED paint. To further improve anti-corrosion protection1 cavity fluid must be added when replacing the tailgate.

Parts required

09 196 462 Teroson Terotex HV 400 T 129 (sufficient for 25 cars)
(CA: 10952414, 20 oz)

Procedure

1. After painting the tailgate, Teroson Terotex HV 400 T129 must be applied from inside in the lower edge of tailgate. Apply it so that the fluid runs into the gap between the outer and inner plate. Allow the agent to dry for a time.





2. Wipe away any excess that runs out through the drain holes.
