General
The radio is an AM/FM receiver with PLL frequency synthesis for the precise tuning in of stations (frequency lock).

The radio is available with or without RDS.The RDS version of the radio is fitted to cars for the EU market. RDS is not used in other markets.

Function
The antenna signal for the radio is supplied from the antenna amplifier via a coaxial cable and a separate connector (HF connector) to the main unit.

The radio is activated with the RADIO button on the main unit. When the radio is active, information is sent to the bus.SID reads this information and displays the current setting.

Control functions
1. Presets (1-6) for the direct selection of preset radio stations.
2. Band, for the selection of frequency band (AM/FM).
3. Manual tuning up/down on the frequency band.
4. Automatic station search, up/down on the frequency band.
5. Automatic search with storage (AS) of the 6 strongest radio stations on the AM or FM band.
6. RDS on/off.
