Disconnecting the Tilt Sensor

Disconnecting The Tilt Sensor

To avoid false alarms if the car is parked on a surface that may move, for example on a car ferry, the tilt sensor can be disconnected.

Disconnection
The sensor is disconnected (with the key removed from the ignition) by holding down the NIGHT PANEL button for a few seconds. The glass breakage sensor is also disconnected.

Disconnection is confirmed with the message DOOR ALARM ONLY on SID. The car must then be locked within 3 minutes if the disconnection is to apply when the alarm is armed.

Connection
The disconnection is cancelled the next time the car is unlocked or by pressing NIGHT PANEL again. SID will then display FULL THEFT ALARM.

IMPORTANT: If a fault arises in the tilt sensor the CHECK message SERVICE THEFT ALARM will be displayed on SID.
