Disconnecting the Glass Breakage Sensor
Disconnecting The Glass Breakage Sensor
To prevent false alarms, such as when children or animals are left in the car, the glass breakage sensor (4D) or glass breakage sensors (5D) can be disconnected.
Disconnection
The sensor is disconnected (with the key removed from the ignition) by holding down the NIGHT PANEL button for a few seconds. The tilt sensor is also disconnected.
Disconnection is confirmed with the message DOOR ALARM ONLY on SID. The car must then be locked within 3 minutes if the disconnection is to apply when the alarm is armed.
Connection
The disconnection is cancelled the next time the car is unlocked or by pressing NIGHT PANEL again. SID will then display FULL THEFT ALARM.
IMPORTANT: If a fault arises in the glass breakage sensor, the CHECK message SERVICE THEFT ALARM will be displayed on SID.
