Xenon Lamp Ballast (663b)

Main task
The ballast ensures that the lamp is subjected to the correct working conditions as regards current and voltage. The ballast generates running voltage in a DC/AC converter, where 12V DC is converted to approx. 85V AC at a frequency of about 300 Hz.

Type
Ballast for Xenon lamp of type D2S.

Connection
The ballast (663b) is connected to the ignition transformer (663a).

The ballast is supplied voltage from headlamp pin 3 and is grounded in headlamp pin 1.
