Main task
Used as lighting for reading.

Type
A lamp and a switch for each side are built into the roof lighting units. The switch is connected in series with the lamp. The switch (53) is a toggle switch, the inner lighting is alternately switched on/off with each subsequent press of the button.

Connection
The lamps are grounded from REC. Power is supplied to the lamps from a relay controlled by the BCM. The supply voltage lead passes through BCM and REC on its way out to the lamps. The BCM senses the supply to determine whether the relay is activated.
