Communication Unit (468)

Main purpose
The communication unit provides for telecommunication to the infotainment system and radio system, including voice, data and phone communication. The communication unit also provides the infotainment system with GPS data.

Type
The communication unit comprises a GPS receiver, GSM or AMPS phone module with voice activation and integrated voice, SIM card reader, Bluetooth module, connector for airbag deployment, OnStar button and battery backup. The unit is SPS reprogrammable.
