CIM Missing on Bus







Fault symptom
- Message "Parking assistance out of order" shown in SID.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.
- Battery voltage greater than 9 V.

Fault criteria:
- No signal from CIM.
- CIM control module not on the bus.

System reaction to a fault:
- Parking assistance is switched off.
- Control module receives no vehicle speed signal from CIM or no park/neutral position obtained.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault on bus leads or in the component.
