Fault symptom
- Check Engine
- Limp home

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- Control module on-board diagnostics has detected an internal communication fault.

Dependent:
- None

System reaction to a fault:
- Different types depending on the type of ECM fault.

OK report:
- Fault criterion not fulfilled and vehicle speed over 0 km/h for more than 60 s.

Fault handling:
Type III

Diagnosis regards:
- To locate electrical faults in the control module internal electronics.

IMPORTANT: A fault on the ground lead to the intake manifold pressure sensor can generate the DTC.
