Idle Speed Control. Idling Speed too Low.







Fault symptom
- Check Engine (OBDII).
- Higher idling speed.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Engine running.
- Accelerator pedal released.
- Vehicle speed 0 km/h.
- Engine load less than 225 mg/c.

Fault criteria:
- Engine speed below requested idling speed by more than 100 rpm for more than 10 s.

Dependent:
- None

System reaction to a fault:
- Control module continues working with the higher idling function.

OK report:
- Fault criteria NOT fulfilled for 11 s.

Fault handling:
Type III

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Blocked throttle, blocked air supply, short engine mechanical fault.
