Vehicle Speed, Incorrect Signal







Fault symptom
- Check Engine
- Cruise control not working.
- Messages shown in SID.
- TCS/ESP lamp light in dashboard.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Motor running more than 3 s.
- Battery voltage must be between 6 - 18 V.

- NONE of the following DTCs must be detected:
- P1625

Fault criteria:
- No or faulty vehicle speed signal from TCS/ESP for 2 s.

Dependent:
- None

System reaction to a fault:
- Cruise control blocked.
- The control module uses the signal from the right rear wheel sensor for continued function.

OK report:
- Fault criteria NOT fulfilled for 3 s.

Fault handling:
Type III

- Wheel sensor fault or internal TCS/ESP fault
- See fault diagnosis for the TCS/ESP DTC in question and bus fault diagnosis.
