Ignition synchronisation malfunction







Fault symptom
- Check Engine (OBDII, EOBD).

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Engine running.

Fault criteria:
- Combustion detected from several cylinders simultaneously. The camshaft position could not be synchronized with the crankshaft position. The engine firing order could not be established.


Dependent:
- No fault in the Combustion Detection Module, P1315.

System reaction to a fault:
- None

OK report:
- When ignition and fuel injection are synchronised.

Fault handling:
Type III

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Soot deposits on the spark plugs and electrical faults.

- Combustion Signal cyl 1+3
- Combustion Signal cyl 2+4
- Camshaft Position Syncronized
