O2S Circuit. No Activity Detected. Sensor 1.

Fault symptom
- Check Engine

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V.
- Engine running.
- Lambda status 0.15 or 16.
- EVAP, leakage diagnostics inactive.
- Preheating active for more than:
(depending on start temperature, the lowest of coolant and intake air temperature is selected)
-9 degree C 570 s.
-8 degree C 270 s.
+8 degree C 270 s.
+9 degree C 80 s.

- NONE of the following DTCs must be detected:
- P0112, P0113

Fault criteria:
- When voltage across the sensor has not been outside of the range 0.30-0.60 V for 10 s.

Dependent:
- None

System reaction to a fault:
- Closed loop is blocked.
- Preheating of oxygen sensors 1 and 2 is stopped.
- Fuel adaptation is reset and switched off.

OK report:
- Diagnosis completed without fault report.

Fault handling:
Type III
(See section Fault handling III, "Other emission-related components and functions" for more information.)

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
