Fault symptom
- ESP warning lamp on.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Diagnostics run each time control module "wakes".

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- Timeout or fault in the check sum in the response received.

System reaction to a fault:
- Steering wheel angle sensor not working.
