Window Travel More Than Expected







Fault symptom
- Express up not working.
- Pinch protection not working.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Each time the window reaches the upper or lower end position.

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- Measured stroke over the limit value.

System reaction to a fault:
- Express up not working.
- Pinch protection not working.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
