Information DTC: Steering Lock System, Critical Failure







Fault symptom
- Messages shown in SID.
- Possible that ignition key cannot be turned.
- The engine may not start.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Diagnostics run when key is inserted and removed.

- The following diagnostic trouble codes may not be generated:
- U1500

System reaction to a fault:
- The control module does not allow starter motor cranking.

Diagnostic help
- The DTC is an information fault code generated because another SCL trouble code is set.
