Easy Entry Motor Output Circuit, Relay Stuck to Ground

Fault symptom
- Memory functions not working

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continually when the engine is run.

Enable criteria:
- When seat operation is permitted.

Fault criteria:

Easy Entry motor, forward:
- Voltage on the control module output exceeds 6 ± 0.2 V.

Easy Entry motor, backward:
- Control module output voltage exceeds B+.

System reaction to a fault:
- No memory functions work

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
