Tilt Motor Output Circuit, Relay Stuck to Ground







Fault symptom
- Memory functions not working
- Output is switched off, tries however to activate the engine once each time the ignition is switched on.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Immediately after a soft start is completed.

Enable criteria:
- When seat operation is permitted.

Fault criteria:
- Voltage on the control module output is below 6 ± 0.2V.

System reaction to a fault:
- No memory functions work
- Output is switched off, tries however to activate the engine once each time the ignition is switched on.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:

Activate:
- Motor, Tilt Rearward
- Motor, Tilt Forward
