High Beam Right Circuit, Short to Ground







Fault symptom
- Messages shown in SID.
- Right-hand main beam, faulty function.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Main beam lit.

Fault criteria:
- Current consumption is greater than 30 A for more than 12 ms.

System reaction to a fault:
- Control module output is switched off.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
