Driver Side Airbag Sensor, incorrect Side Airbag Sensor installed

Fault symptom
- Airbag warning lamp is lit

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- Control module receives incorrect ID from the sensor.

System reaction to a fault:
- The airbag system should be considered non-operational. There may, however, be some functionality.
- The control module ignores the activation command from the sensor as long as a fault is active.

Fault handling:
- Check the sensor part number.
