Window Motor Hall Sensor Supply Short to Ground







Fault symptom
- No express function, window up/down.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

The following DTCs are generated at the same time as this DTC:
- B1583
- B3832

This DTC will not be generated if the following DTCs exist:
- B3542
- B3933

Fault criteria:
- Incorrect voltage drop over the Hall sensor.

System reaction to a fault:
- No express function, window up/down.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
