Window Motor Up Circuit, Short to B+







Fault symptom
- Side window cannot be closed.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.
- Diagnostics run when power window is operated.

Fault criteria:
- Current through the engine is greater than the permitted calibrated value.

System reaction to a fault:
- The motor attempts to raise the window during each new driving cycle.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
