Low Beam Left Circuit, Current above Threshold







Fault symptom
- Left-hand dipped beam, faulty function.
- Messages shown in SID.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Light switch in position 2.

Fault criteria:
- Current consumption is between 7.9 and 30 A.

System reaction to a fault:
- None

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help
- If the vehicle has Xenon headlights, the ignition must be ON for 30 seconds for this to be detected.
- Diagnostic trouble code can be generated if the incorrect lamp is used.
