Legroom Adjustment Motor. Open Circuit







Fault symptom
- Memory functions not working
- The seat cannot be adjusted lengthwise.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continually when the engine is run.

Enable criteria:
- When seat operation is permitted.

Fault criteria:
- Motor, Slide Forward
Voltage on the control module output is below 6 ± 0.2V.

- Motor, Slide Rearward
Voltage on the control module output is below B+ -0.7V.

System reaction to a fault:
- No memory functions work

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:

Activate:
- Motor, Slide Rearward
- Motor, Slide Forward
