Height Motor Output Circuit, Open
Fault symptom
- Memory functions not working
On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
- Continually when the engine is run.
Enable criteria:
- When seat operation is permitted.
Fault criteria:
- MOTOR UP
Voltage on the control module output is below 6 ± 0.2V.
- MOTOR DOWN
Voltage on the control module output is below B+ -0.7V.
System reaction to a fault:
- No memory functions work
- Output is switched off, tries however to activate the engine once each time the ignition is switched on.
OK report:
- Fault criteria NOT fulfilled.
Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.

Activate:
- Motor, Height Up
- Motor, Height Down
