Switch Height Down Circuit, Short to B+







Fault symptom
- Engine does not go in the direction of the button but can go in the opposite direction.
- Memory functions not working

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- When seat operation is permitted.

Fault criteria:
- Fault in control button circuit.

System reaction to a fault:
- No memory functions work
- Engine does not go in the direction of the button but can go in the opposite direction.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

- Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
