Sensor Feed Circuit, Short to B+







Fault symptom
- Message "Parking assistance out of order" shown in SID.
- SPA stops all measurements and the acoustic signals from SID for SPA are switched off.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.
- Reverse gear selected

Fault criteria:
- When output voltage exceeds 9.2 V for more than 0.4 s.

System reaction to a fault:
- Control module stops measurement and is set to standby mode.

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
