Fault symptom
- Airbag warning lamp is lit

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- The control module configuration does not agree with the car configuration.

System reaction to a fault:
- The airbag system should be considered non-operational. There may, however, be some functionality.

Fault handling:
- Perform fault diagnosis for the other DTCs in the system

Checking the wiring harness
- Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
