Position Sensor, Invalid Position







Fault symptom

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.
- Soft top opening/closing activated

Fault criteria:
- One of the position sensors is incorrectly positioned in comparison with the other position sensors.

System reaction to a fault:
- Control module switches off soft top operation

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:
- The soft top is operated in sequences. Each sequence must begin with the sensors in a position that matches the movement pattern.
- Possible message in SID
- Soft top cannot be operated

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous
- Soft top cover up
