Control Module. Internal Fault







Fault symptom
- Cannot turn key.
- Engine does not start.
- Steering column lock not working.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Diagnosis is carried out before the control module goes into standby.
- Diagnosis takes 8 minutes.

Fault criteria:
- Control module on-board diagnostics has detected a RAM error.

System reaction to a fault:
- Steering column lock deactivated.
- The control module does not allow starter motor cranking.
