Fault symptom
- Airbag warning lamp is lit

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous

Enable criteria:
- Ignition ON.

Fault criteria:
- Deployment of Airbags and/or seat-belt tensioners completed.

System reaction to a fault:
- If the front airbags are deployed, the DTC is permanent and cannot be cleared.
- If only the side airbags/seat-belt tensioners have been deployed, the activation counter increases for each activation until the counter reaches 3. Trouble code B0051 is then permanently set and cannot be cleared.

Fault handling:
- The control module must be replaced when the DTC is permanent.
